Let’s Create An Okanagan Legacy
This nearly 50 km level route along spectacular lakeshores, and rural and urban landscapes will appeal to all ages and abilities. The trail will connect our communities, and create a unique legacy for future generations.
Development of the trail is now underway. A successful campaign in 2016, raising over $2.6 million from over 3,300 donations, has funded the first 2 stages of development. Planning and further design work is underway and work on the trail will begin this spring. Click here for more information on the stages of construction.
Local governments of Kelowna, Lake Country, Regional District of the North Okanagan and the Okanagan Indian Band are cooperating to develop the trail and the Community Foundations in Vernon and Kelowna can receive donations and provide a tax deductible receipt. Trail construction can continue through 2017 and be completed in 2018, if we all come together, get involved and donate now. Let’s Make it Happen!
